I am Brand New

Brand New – by Kerri Crocker

This song sort of became my ‘theme song’ after my month off from the computer. I found it on a CD of ‘the top indie artists from 2008’ that I bought on sale at CBD for .99 cents. πŸ˜€

Every word of it rang so true… I am new. I feel new… I feel like God has taken me and molded me into something better than I was before. I’m closer to him now… I can feel his presence more sweetly.

It hasn’t been easy… sometimes it’s been really hard. But slowly, I’m being polished and faceted and cleaned, until my diamond-in-the-rough is beginning to sparkle. πŸ˜€

I MADE THIS VIDEO, because I couldn’t find the songΒ anywhereΒ on YouTube… and it took me way too long to put together. It’s a testament to how much I like this song that I didn’t hate it after I had heard it on replay a million times as I was crafting this video and fitting the background pictures together. πŸ˜›

So… watch it, and tell me what you think. πŸ˜‰

How did I do? Isn’t it an uplifting song?

    Wow! Such a great song. (Where’d you come across it?) You did well with the video. I loved the pictures and the font during the bridge. {Haha} It’s a really catchy song. Seems like it’ll stick well with a hopeful message for us throughout the day. πŸ™‚

      Hi Rachel!
      It is a great song – very catchy too! πŸ˜€ I found it on a CD I recently bought, it was a compilation of various Christian artists from 2008. πŸ˜‰ That font is called “Tagettes” if you want to look it up. πŸ˜€ I love unusual fonts!

    Other Rachel here! πŸ˜‰ *giggles*

    Julia, it was marvelous, splendiful, spectacular!!! One of the most touching and prettiest, well-put-together video’s I’ve seen in awhile!!! *happy sigh* The second verse resonated the most with me and what God’s done in my own heart this year. πŸ™‚ Loved the verses you chose – I love it when people do that in their video’s…makes it much more meaningful. It was all so perfect! Thanks for sharing! {adding to youtube playlist…now.} And oh yes, love how your eye for design came into play SO WELL here! The fonts, the images, the way the words came up in perfect sinc…beautiful! {{Hugs}}

      Wow! Rachel, I’m thrilled that you liked it so much. πŸ˜€ I was thinking of you when I was working on it… knowing how you have those great playlists of Christian music! πŸ™‚ Proud that my video gets to be part of your favorites! πŸ˜€

      Yes, I noticed those blank spaces of interlude music and thought I’d share some verses that seemed to flow along with the song’s message. πŸ˜€

      You are very welcome, and thank YOU for commenting – it just made my afternoon! πŸ˜€
